Sun’s out, toys out! The best part of having a pool on a hot summer day is testing out fun toys and floats. Take a load off today and check out some of our favorite toys for any age and skill level. Remember to practice caution when playing in the pool, regardless of age.

1. The Classics: Colorful Noodles

Foam noodles are synonymous with pools and water. Sure, they’re made to assist floating, but really, they’re a sword, a horn, or a didgeridoo. They’re also a great way to protect your kids from sharp edges around the pool, but you will need scissors to make it easier to apply them to sharp edges.

2. Play Ball!

Another timeless classic, the inflatable beach ball is the perfect toy to throw around and get everyone moving. You can go pro sports and play some water polo or keep it childlike and keep the ball in the air.

3. Diving Toys

These kinds of toys are great for training your kids’ swimming skills. Toss them into the pool and get them to sink, then go pick them up! The game is simple, and as everyone gets better, you can increase the challenge. You can also get some diving rings and bigger hoops to swim in.

4. Food Floats and Lil’ Floats

Pineapples, popsicles, waffles, watermelons, corn, cotton candy, and other colorful floats that you can use to teach young kids about food while they safely play around in the pool.

Some for the young Melvins! Pick from the mermaid, TinySaurus, rainbow, and donut floats. Each is designed to keep your lil’ one safe at all times as they splash around and learn how to be in the water.

5. Cocktail Floatin’

And some for the older ones! Tan under the sunlight on your own cocktail-inspired float and add a bit of happy hour to your personal oasis. Pick your favorite: beer, rosé, margarita, or bourbon!

6. Giant Floats

Go all out with massive floats that add fun and color to your above-ground pool. Relax on the mermaid donut, the butterfly donut, or the giant whoopee cushion—you can always blame this giant unit for any strange noises.

7. Log Roller

Test your balancing skills with a floating log. Stay on as long as you can or add some challenge and bring another player to the mix along with some pool noodles and see who is the last one standing.
