During shut down, corrosion deposits form on the impeller and other close tolerance areas and cause the pump to bind. Liquid Pump Protector inhibits corrosion and lubricates the pump so that it will start up in the spring.
Directions for Use:
Before the filter is shut down, pour Liquid Pump Protector into the filter intake. Leave pump the running until a small amount of blue appears at the filter outlet. Immediately turn off the pump.
Allow the pump and filter to stand for about one hour to permit the chemical agents to properly mix within the filter tank.
Properly drain the water from the tank and pump as per the manufacturers instructions.
The chemical agents in this product will then be coated on the metal parts within the filter and pump. This invisible coating will inhibit corrosion during the off-season period.
When you are ready to start your filter in the spring, follow the manufacturers start up procedure. When water passes through the pump, the film will wash off and will not cause problems in the pool water.
