One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer throughout their lifetime in the United States, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This overwhelming fact has pushed citizens of various backgrounds to create foundations in support of women to power through the illness, bringing the resources they may need closer to them. In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her sister Susan that she would do everything possible to end the disease forever.
Today, we know that promise as the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This groundbreaking organization and global movement has invested millions of dollars in research, community health outreach, advocacy, and programs in more than 60 countries. At Namco Pools, we’re proud to be among the foundation’s stalwart supporters and fundraisers, helping wherever we can.
The CT More Than Pink Walk
Every year, Namco supports the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s MORE THAN PINK walk, and 2024 is no exception. Join us and hundreds of participants in this year’s walk. Catch our team wearing our breast cancer awareness t-shirts and say “hello!”
Additionally, we raise funds year-round for the foundation through cash and card donations. You can also support the cause by purchasing breast cancer awareness bracelets at all our locations. Your contribution makes a difference!
